Away we Go! First stop: Maui, Hawaii

As we mentioned in the "Preparation" blog post, we packed 65 and 80 liter backpacks for the trip.  We looked like serious travelers.

Our first flight was 10 + hours to Honolulu, with a connecting flight to Maui.  With such a long flight and a long trip ahead of us, we opted for business class seats which means champagne, lots of space and ice cream!

Our first day in Maui was spent laying on the beach, swimming in the pool and ocean.
